Winter Paradise@ Surfer Paradise, GC

Dear readers,

It has been a while since i last blog..not because i do not have anything to blog but too many things to blog that i was not sure where to start. Anyway, here i am starting my new post again for this month of july...and here begin with my journey of paradise in Gold Coast. The last time i'd been there was 1998 with my family, that was ten years ago. lol

Day 1: 3rd of July was the day i depart from sydney domestic airport to Gold Coast@6.30AM. Met up with shaun and chrys at the airport and flew to Gold Coast for 5 days 4 nights stay.

We did not do much during the 1st day as we were waiting for jenny and dominic to arrive on the next day. Therefore, we just walk around the main town and have a stroll along the beach.

Went to coles to get some groceries and shaun decided to cook pasta for us. It was fantastic, and i did learn something new from it. Its an oil base pasta with salami and mix herb, not very hard to cook and it taste just like the restaurants.

Day 2 (4th of July)

Woke up about 9 plus and had breakfast before we headed out to roam around for more. Jenny and Dominic arrive bout noon and we decided to have lunch together. I've ordered a seafood platter for one as i was craving for seafood during that time. When the dish arrive, I was at AWE!!!
At 1st i nearly questioned the waiter to make sure if he did order my seafood platter for 1, because if it is not, then i had to pay for the price of $49.95 not $22.95. At the end, i accepted it and made no arguments about it since i was sooo hungry during that time. When the bill came, i was pulling out my $50 cash and to realise that i only had to pay less than half of what i expected. I was like 'WOW....It is seafood platter for 1''. Everyone in the table was laughing at me because i was naively thinking that i was being slaughtered whats more that it is sooo obvious that i could not finish the whole plate myself and yes i did had it takeaway at the end. This is a platter for 2 in Fish Market sydney!!!

Had a stroll around around Gold Coast and ended up not buying anything. Mainly spent more on food :)

Dinner was great. I had Chicken Lemoni from an italian restaurant and it was delicious. The texture is tender and juicy with pinch of lemon zest and herbs. Love It!!

Ashton had cabonara and before i could take a shot of it, its gone!!
We ended the dinner with a surprise dessert for Jenny, our birthday girl. A tiramisu cake.
She was surprise alright :)
After the dinner we headed home and rest for tomorrow, but the night is still young and had another birthday surprise for Jenny at home.
Another Birthday cake.. but this time its from Cold Rock, ChocoMint Ice cream cake.

Day 5 : Last day (7th of July)
Here comes the last day and we had to head back to sydney. How sad, i was having soo much fun there that i was very reluctant to return to sydney. Flight time was at 9.00pm and we had to catch the bus from the town at 6.30pm. Had a late lunch at seafood mania. Hahaha..i was craving for seafood.

Had captain's catch and fresh oyster. It was really fresh and juicy, Yum....

And a last minute shop to Hard Rock cafe @ surfers paradise :)
Did intend to jump into the beach, but was too chicken to dip into the freezing water :p

Overall it was a nice trip to unwind from the city life. Will definitely go back there again. maybe
